The cat's tarsal joint
Illustrations for Students of Veterinary Medicine
In cooperation with Dr. Antonio Pozzi from the Animal Hospital in Zürich
Illustrator 06/2018 ZHdK - Modul Medical Illustration
The cat‘s tarsal joint has two specific ligaments that firmly hold the joint als long as the leg is stretched, but allow a side movement if the leg is bent. This illustration helps students of veterinary medicine to understand the structure and the function of the ligaments of the joint. This is the first time that this function was visualized. It was developed in cooperation with Dr. Antonio Pozzi from the Animal Hospital in Zürich and is based on own anatomic studies of a cat‘s body.
